Job Profile
1. Export (entire procedure of Export):-
 Overall monitoring and responsible of all export activities
 Explore the new international market
 Negotiation & finalization export order.
 Monitoring of Pre & Post shipment export documents.
 Entire procedure of shipment of goods as per the terms &
Conditions of Letter of Credit, Purchase Order.
 Follow up with the party for payments after due date (if required)
 E-BRC’s & other Export-Import related work with bank.
 Liaison with Bank, DGFT, Customs and other apex bodies like
GCCI, ECGC.
2. Licence & related matters with DGFT :-
 Overall monitoring and responsible of all DGFT related matter.
 Issuance/Addition/Modification of Importer Exporter code (IEC) from DGFT
 Online Application of DFIA, Advance Licence, Focus Market Scheme
 Issuance of Licences from DGFT
 Invalidation of Input(item) under DFIA Scheme.
 Discharge of export obligation of DFIA Licences(EODC)
 Co-Ordination with Consultant related to various cases related to EPCG and
DFIA Licences.
 Block wise Export Obligation submission under EPCG Licence s
Grant of Trading House Certificate
3. Import (entire procedure of Import):-
 Application for Opening of Letter of Credit in the bank.
 Procedure for release of Import documents from bank.
 Entire procedure of clearance of Import consignments.
 Registration of BG/Bond of Licences and Discharge of BG/Bond from
Custom Dept.
 Co-Ordination with CHA for Clearance of Import Shipment.

2. 4. International Logistics:-
 Negotiation & finalization with Shipping Line for best freight
 Monitoring/coordinating with Domestic Logistic dept for removal of export
material from plant and reach timely at CFS.
 Finalization of stevedore for export-import-coastal cargo
 Negotiation with vessel owner/agent for coastal movement of cement
 Knowledge of Fixture Note/Charter Party Agreement.
 Monitoring of Break-Bulk and Bulk cargo operation.
 Laytime calculation
5. Accounting & Other work related to Export- Import:-
 Preparation and auditing of Export Turnover, Import statement.
 Preparation & filling of Monthly E.C.G.C. declaration of Export.
 Preparation & submission of Monthly report to Export Promotion Council.
 Day to day Follow-up with Production dept/stores/ Marketing dept.
 Submission of MIS Reports to the Higher Authority
6. Remarkable work in Present Job:-
 Obtained EODC for 8 EPCG Licences
 Obtained the Trading House Certificate
 Obtained South African Bureau of Standard Certificate(SABS) and Sri Lanka
Standard Institution Certificate(SLSI) for Cement product and created new
market for Export
 Reduce Detention/demurrage charges for our export cargo. Since last 2 years
it comes to a level of Zero.
 Won the case for USD 1.2 Million in International Arbitrationheld at Kenya in
2013.
 Developed East Africa and Sri Lanka market for Cement product.
7. County Visit:-
 Sri Lanka, Kenya, Seychelles for Development of Market and exploring the
possibilities to set up a plant.
