2. Timing of Decision Making
Timing is crucial in the process of decision making .
The usefulness of the decision will be lost if they are
not taken at the appropriate time.
"Everyone from the most junior to the most senior had
just 5 questions that when answered led to action.
How is this [decision] relevant to what I do?
What, specifically should I do?
How will I be measured, and what are the
consequences?
What tools and support are available?

4. Effective Communication of Decision
The receiver should properly understand the language in which
the decision is communicated .
The decision will serve no purpose and remain on paper if it is
not properly communicated .
Some points to remember:
What are the key points or major messages you want to share
when communicating the decision?
How is this decision connected to/in alignment with our
strategies, vision, mission and values?
Who will provide the communication?
How will it be communicated (what is the best medium)?
What will be the process to check for understanding?
7. Viewpoints of all the concerned individuals should be obtained
before arriving at a final decision.
The problem at hand and its proper analysis will be viewed
from a wider perspective when viewpoints from different
individuals are obtained.
To avoid unfilled gaps and voids in the decisions ,a large
number of concerned individuals should be involved by the
management in the process of decision making.
8. Implementation of Decision
After the conclusion of the process of decision making, its
is necessary that honest efforts are put in so that the
decision gets implemented in an effective manner.
The process of implementation should be carried out
through the collaborative efforts of both the mamagers and
the subordinates.
If the decision implementation fails ,the manager will be
blamed on the other hand if its successful there is very little
chance of getting appreciation .
Thus, numerous issues are to be taken care of when it
comes to implementing decision.
