4. What is Neutral Electrolyzed Water?
NEWater©
• Neutral Electrolyzed Water (or NEWater© is
a non-toxic, non-irritant, environmentally
and ecologically safe sanitizing solution
produced from the electrochemical
reaction of water, salt and electricity.
• NEWater© is proven to be more effective
against bacteria, viruses, noroviruses,
molds and other microbiological organisms
than Chlorine* solutions alone and, yet,
remains benign enough to ingest in
concentrated form .

5. The human body produces a highly effective antimicrobial solution called
hypochlorous acid to fight infection. White blood cells release this natural
oxidant to fight invading pathogens. The hypochlorous acid produced by the
human body’s immune system:
1. Reacts readily with a variety of microbial sub-cellular compounds
2. Interferes with their metabolic processes
3. Kills individual bacterium exposed within milliseconds
A. When a wound breaks human skin, it
creates a gateway for harmful
pathogens to invade human cells.
B. Neutrophils, which are a type of white
blood cell, live in human blood vessels.
C. When pathogens invade a human cell,
neutrophils travel to the infection site
to destroy the invading pathogen. The
first step in this process is engulfing the
pathogen.
D. Once the neutrophil has completely
surrounded the pathogen, it produces
an oxidant, hypochlorous acid.
Hypochlorous acid is a biocide, meaning
it kills organic material. Once produced
by the neutrophil, it kills the bacteria
almost instantly.

6. Germ Surfaces carry a natural negative
electrical charge. For that reason,
Hypochlorice ion (OCL) is repelled in the
vicinity of germ surfaces and they form a
resistance to it, while by using Hypochlorous
acid (HOCL) at a pH of 2.5-3.5 or 5-6.8 it can
easily penetrate those surfaces.
Hypochlorous acid pierces the barriers of
germs and resistance layers, destroying
these microscopic agents of disease. U of MN
stated that HOCL is about 80 to 200 times
more antimicrobial then OCL

• NEWater© offers many advantages over traditional

To date no virus, bacteria and mold has been able to
develop any adaptive resistance to Anolyte. Further,
when NEWater© Sanitizer is applied at different
dosing levels, it may be used for virtually all sanitizing

Cleaner (Catholyte)
Catholyte primary function is to dissolve and remove
grease, fats and other caked on debris besides
preventing or eliminating the following:
• The need for storage/use of chlorine and other
chemical cleaners in the work place that can create an

hazards and safety risks for employees…and…
• By using NTS© it may help management in decreased

• EPA Pesticide Generation Mfg. Establishment number 85215-PA-001 allowing use
of NEWater© on-site use in the food industry.
• USDA has stated they have no objections for the use of NEWater© in the Meat,
Poultry, or Egg production industries.
• USDA included electrolyzed water on its list of pesticides published as 7120.1 Amend
11 dated 4/11/2007.
FDA has also expressed no concerns and holds no opposition for the use of
electrolyzed water.

foods
