A sampling method is a
procedure for selecting sample
from a population.
 Sample??
It is a unit that is selected from
the population.
 Represents the whole
population.

population, so researcher must decide which
sampling method should be used. The sampling
methods can be classified as:

Methods:
 Also called as a probability
sampling since the sample
selection is done randomly.
 Every unit have the same
probability of being
included in sample.
 Non-Random
Sampling Methods:
 In this case the selection is
done on the basis of
criteria.
 Every unit does not have
the same probability of
being included in sample.

technique wherein

and likely chance of
being selected in the
sample.
