4. RAKE RETRACTORS
 Shaped like a claw.
 Used to hold soft tissues during an operation.
 Used in general and micro surgeries,

7. STEVENS TENOTOMY SCISSORS
 Available in both straight and curved.
 Long handle and small sharp blades with
variable tip styles.
 Blunt tip blades are used for dissecting and
cutting mucous membranes.
 Commonly used in ophthalmology,

thoracic surgery procedures.

 It has 25 , 45 ,60 and 90 degree angled jaws
and may be straight.
 Both the blades are sharp.

removal.

19. SCHNIDT TONSIL FORCEPS
 Used for placing packing in tonsil removal.
 This instrument with partial curve are known
as Schnidt-Boettcher forceps.
 With full curve it is known as Schnidt-Sawtell
forceps.
 This instrument has a slight curve.
 Also used for clamping tissue or holding
sponges during tonsilectomy.

23. DEBAKES MULTIPURPOSE FORCEPS
 Commonly used in cardio vascular & thoracic
surgeries.
 Used as a haemostat.
 Also used in grasping tissues.
 It has a 60 degree angle.
 Atraumatic teeth provides secure grip but do
not harm the tissue.
