 Used for smoothening or shaping the rough
surfaces of bone.
 Used in filing the sharp end of an amputated
bone to aid in a smooth stump.

20.  Long handled spoon shaped instruments with
scoops at one or both ends.
 Depth of scoop can vary.
 Used for curetting tumour tissues like gaint cell
tumours or bone cyst.
 Used for curette haematoma or fibrous tissue from
fractured ends of bone before fixation.

 Mainly used instrument in orthopaedic
procedures.
