3. JOB METHOD STATEMENT.
2.1 Application of Permit to Work (PTW).
2.2 Preparation of tools and equipment which included the analyzer and snoop at
site. The measurements and readings of Model 3110 Portable Trace Oxygen
Analyzer consisted of pressure (bar or psi), flowrate (L/min in AIR) and oxygen
concentration (% or ppm).
2.3 The analyzer is turned on by switching on V4 to ensure that the battery is fully
charged beforehand and then switched off.
2.4 The analyzer and the snoop is brought to the pressure vessel and to be prepared
before it tested for oxygen concentration.
2.5 The ¼” Male connector from the LPG tank is then fitted to the analyzer inlet at
C1.
2.6 The valve from LPG tank is slowly opened and throttled to allow the gas to flow
into the analyzer until the pressure inlet shown in R1 is at around 4 to 5 barg.
2.7 The snoop is sprayed onto the valves and fittings of the analyzer to ensure no
gas leaking.
2.8 The outlet pressure is regulated by turning V1 until the pressure reading reached
1 barg as shown in R2.
2.9 Then the flowrate is controlled by turning V2 until the flowmeter reading on R4
reached 2 L/min of AIR.
2.10 The gas is then purged by turning on V3 and closing it, this process is repeated
for 1 minute to ensure all the residual gases is completely purged. After 1 minute,
the V3 is closed and the sample gas is ready to be tested.
2.11 Now the analyzer is turned on by switching on V4. The analyzer waited and
monitored for 3 to 5 minutes until the reading is constant.

2.12 After 3 to 5 minutes, the reading is taken as the final oxygen concentration of the
pressure vessel.
2.13 The reading is recorded into the SIG CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE FORM and
ready to be evaluated by the customer.
2.14 After the testing, the analyzer is switched off. The valve from the pressure vessel
is closed and the gas is completely discharged outside by opening V3 fully.
2.15 Then the ¼” male connector at C1 can be safely disconnected to conclude the
test.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
OPTIONS
The Model 3110 represents the new generation
of portable trace and percent oxygen analysis
capability.
The 3110 combines a rugged, portable analyzer
design with the high reliability of Teledyne trace
and percent level sensors. This ensures highly
accurate ppm/percent oxygen readings in a variety
of background gases -- including hydrocarbons. The
batteries supply at least 100 hours of continuous
power to the analyzer, with a low-battery indicator
LED.
The analyzer includes quick-disconnect fittings
to take measurements without hassle and can
be equipped with an external sample system. The
microprocessor-based electronics provide accurate,
high resolution readings and easy-to-use features.
