4. LPT Laser Projector system
Laser Projectors are used in various industries for various applications, among them
is to project the outer 3D profile of each composite ply onto the layup tool for
accurate positioning.
5. LPT Laser Projector system
It does this by...
1. Importing the 3D profile data from the
CAD Model.
2. Using reflective reference positions on
the Layup tool to verify the orientation
of the tool placed in front of it and then
re-orients the projected profile to suit.
3. It does this for each ply to eliminate
mistakes in case the tool is bumped
during the process.
4. It projects the profiles in the correct
sequence as per the Ply Book.
5. It even measures the time it take to
apply each layer. Pretty cool...
