Causes the potentiation and enhancement of excitatory
neurotransmission in CNS.
Inhibition of the inhibitory neurotransmission.
These drugs decrease the feeling of fatigue and causes
excitement.
5. CNS Depressants
The drugs which inhibit/ depress the motor and sensory
activities in the CNS.
Causes potentiation and enhancement of inhibitory
neurotransmission in CNS.
Inhibition of the excitatory neurotransmission.
These drugs calm CNS either by inducing sleep or without
inducing sleep.
