Scope of Experiences
(1) Preheat Furnace
1. Operates the Preheat furnace to its maximum quality and productivity performance.
2. Identify and rectify quality problems, suggesting solutions and corrective measures. Coordinate with shift
supervisor, control pulpit operators and floor level manning for safe and productive operations.
3. Ensures good standards of housekeeping in the area of work.
4. Follow safe working procedures and instructions.
5. Inspect burners, flame pattern, physical condition of ingots inside the furnace.
6. Log all abnormalities observed in equipment.
7. Ensure that ingots are properly heated to desired temperature.
8. Inspect the following equipment at regular intervals during shift.
- Skid pipe cooling system.
- Pressure of Natural Gas before and after pressure reducer
- Refractory inside furnace.
- Level of trough water.
- Combustion air pressure
- Waste gas temperature
9. Co-ordinate Refractory repair and Furnace cleaning during shutdown.
10. Coordinate with pulpit operators, mechanical and electrical maintenance in any delays so proper furnace
heat reduction and or timely heat buildup is implemented.
11. Implement furnace heat up and furnace cool down in accordance with Standard furnace heating curve.
Perform any additional task assigned by Supervisor
12. Prepare production plan for all the shifts
(2) Scalper Machine
1- Inspect scalper machine before starting up.
2- Check cutting tools and change the bad ones.
3- Check hydraulic levels.
4- Check way lube and spindle lube.

2. 5- Check cutter lube tank and fill it if required
6- Start the machine after fixing all the problems.
7- Operate scalper machine in Auto mode, Manual mode and semi Auto mode.
8- Co-ordinate with maintenance team for any maintenance activities in the machine.
9- Prepare production plan for all the shifts.
(3) Mechanical technician
As mechanical technician I am doing following jobs:-
1. Machine Development:-Performing TPM & 5S, Keizan activity for machine. Fault finding &
track record of machine, hence improving machine performance.
2. Performing Lockout & Tagged out process before doing any kind of maintenance job.
3. Reducing delay time: - Analysis of machine for the root cause of delay & make preparatory
arrangement to avoid delay.
4. Hand on experience for the Rexroth hydraulic system to avoid hydraulic oil leakage & problem
trouble shooting.
