1. What is the problem?
2. Any existing solutions, in the past and present?
3. What is the best solution?
4. What do I hope to achieve?
5. What is the RESEARCH GAP?

4. How to BEGIN the
“Introduction”?
1. Include definition of the topic and background
2. Move on to the problem to be solved
3. Continue with the researcher’s objectives
4. Include facts and related literature with application of proper
referencing (in-text citations).

7. What is a “Research Gap”?
Follow these central questions:
1. What is needed to conduct in the study?
2. What is lacking in the existing literature regarding the topic issue
that needs to be identified and explored?
3. What is unknown about the issue that needs to be known to have a
better understanding?
