New Student Success Guide Bergen Community College
1.
New Student Information
2018 Fall
Welcome to Bergen Community College
Welcome new students! Bergen Community College is dedicated to your success, whether you're coming straight
from high school or returning after some time out of
the education environment.
Every important journey requires preparation. Your
adjustment during the first semester of college can
have a major impact on your college experience. In
general, students who are better prepared to start their
first semester of college have an advantage because
they have time to adjust to their new campus
community before classes even begin.
We encourage you to complete the enrollment steps as you
prepare to start classes. If you have any questions email
admissions@bergen.edu
We want you to be successful at BCC , right from the start. These
steps are helpful in your transition to college.
With approximately 15,000 students, BCC is a busy place!
We recommend meeting your advisor
approximately one month prior to the start of
classes allowing time to:
● Challenge the placement test if you need to
● Submit AP scores
● Submit College Transcripts
● Register for classes
● Finalize Financial Aid
● Open up a Tuition Payment Plan
● Familiarize yourself with the campus
Our campus is very busy as the semester approaches. So if you wait until the
end, please expect a crowded campus and potential delays.
