4. My role:
UX Researcher & UX Designer
Project overview
Responsibilities:
I did everything in this project from research to
high fidelity prototype.
6. User research: summary
I initially started the research simple by only having two user groups. One is Therapists & the patients, it
is to help me understand the pain points of patients so as to help me optimize the user experience for the
therapist. Also when doing user research on therapists their pain points helped me get an idea of the
direction I want to go in.

10. ● Paper wireframes
● Digital wireframes
● Low-fidelity prototype
● Usability studies
Starting
the design
14. Usability study: findings
I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs
from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what
aspects of the mockups needed refining.
Round 1 findings
Reschedule flow is little long
1
Certain buttons are confusing
2
Round 2 findings
Users prefer simpler buttons over fancy
1
Users want some info on patients
2
Users want the icons to be labeled
3
16. Mockups
The appointment card were
unecessarily taking too much
space and the information
wasn’t easy to read so made
it much simpler also takes
less space.

17. Mockups
The buttons for selecting the
time looked little outdated
and also didn’t suit the
overall theme so adjusted it
to suit the overall theme and
design.

22. Takeaways
Impact:
The app helped Therapists workflow on day to
day basis, it helped reduce their time spend on
allocating and rescheduling appointments
What I learned:
The initial scope of the project I imagined was
much bigger but through feedback and usability
test, I figured out I could make it a very simple
app for wider users.
23. Next steps
Conduct more usability
study to figure out if there
are more features or quality
of life designs can be
made.
Refine the design even
more on the basis of
simplicity and accesability.
