Discover LIU Post:
Home to generations
of successful pioneers The campus includes
three historic
mansions set
amongst 4,000 trees
A historic campus
LIU Post is quite literally built on success.
The university is located on the 177-acre
estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post,
daughter of food industry pioneer C.W. Post,
and heiress to the Post Cereal fortune.
The beautiful estate mansion, Winnick
House, once played host to ambassadors,
industry titans and movie stars. It now
provides inspiring meeting rooms and
performance spaces for our students
and faculty.
The LIU Post campus offers you plenty of
opportunities to follow in the footsteps of
successful men and women. Future financial
leaders and CPAs study in Lorber Hall, the
former home of financier William E. Hutton II.
Students can also perform on stage at Tilles
Center for the Performing Arts, which has
previously welcomed the world’s finest
orchestras, comedians and dancers.
Campus highlights include:
• Three historic mansions
• 56 modern buildings with superb facilities
• 4,000 trees
• Formal gardens and green lawns
• Nature trails
The Gold Coast:
An elite New York suburb
Long Island’s Gold Coast region has been
attracting the rich and famous for over a
century. The Gold Coast area inspired F. Scott
Fitzgerald’s classic novel ‘The Great Gatsby’,
and is still a popular summer getaway
for New York’s wealthiest and most
successful residents.
You can fill your study breaks and weekends
by exploring the celebrated sandy beaches,
historic mansions, and fine collection of
vineyards.
A cultural center
The region also provides many ways to
spark your ideas and creativity. On campus
you will find the Steinberg Museum of Art.
Designed to support a liberal arts education,
the Collection is quite diverse; but has a
focus on non-western art including Pre-
Columbian and African textiles and sculpture,
and Chinese painting.
The acclaimed Tilles Center for the
Performing Arts is Long Island’s premier arts
venue. Students can engage with innovative
dance, music and comedy performances as
well as enjoy the classics.
City and sea
At LIU Post, you do not have to choose
between the opportunities of the city and the
peaceful beauty of nature.
New York City is less than an hour away by
commuter train. Currently ranked as the world’s
most important financial center, this dynamic
city is home to some of the most innovative
and influential companies and organizations
in the world. Whether you wish to forge a
career in business, technology, healthcare or
the arts, there is no better place to connect
with life-changing internships and opportunities.
And when it is time to relax, the beautiful
coastline provides many great places to visit.
Oyster Bay is a popular day trip; offering you
watersports, fresh seafood, and the chance
to explore more of the Gold Coast’s
magnificent mansions.

future and prepare you for your career.

you to find the right path to your success.
Our service includes:

you all the way to graduation.
Your coach will be your key contact for any
queries or ideas you have about your studies,
career plans, activities or living arrangements.

Internships and co-operatives
Co-operative Education (Co-op) at LIU Post
enables you to combine academic studies with
solid work experience, providing you with the
tools and opportunities you need to actively
choose a career – not just settle for a job.
Our co-op partners are employers from
different companies and organizations across
a variety of industries. This means you can try out
different careers and gain hands-on experience
in a real workplace related to your major.
A résumé that demonstrates internships and
work experience will help you stand out from
the crowd and make you more marketable to
prospective employers. LIU Post internship
placements, and the names of the
organizations that hosted them, appear on
our degree transcripts for employers to see.
Student-run businesses
The LIU Post campus is home to successful
student-run businesses. Students can take
an active role in managing and marketing

  • 4. Discover LIU Post: Home to generations of successful pioneers The campus includes three historic mansions set amongst 4,000 trees A historic campus LIU Post is quite literally built on success. The university is located on the 177-acre estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post, daughter of food industry pioneer C.W. Post, and heiress to the Post Cereal fortune. The beautiful estate mansion, Winnick House, once played host to ambassadors, industry titans and movie stars. It now provides inspiring meeting rooms and performance spaces for our students and faculty. The LIU Post campus offers you plenty of opportunities to follow in the footsteps of successful men and women. Future financial leaders and CPAs study in Lorber Hall, the former home of financier William E. Hutton II. Students can also perform on stage at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, which has previously welcomed the world’s finest orchestras, comedians and dancers. Campus highlights include: • Three historic mansions • 56 modern buildings with superb facilities • 4,000 trees • Formal gardens and green lawns • Nature trails The Gold Coast: An elite New York suburb Long Island’s Gold Coast region has been attracting the rich and famous for over a century. The Gold Coast area inspired F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel ‘The Great Gatsby’, and is still a popular summer getaway for New York’s wealthiest and most successful residents. You can fill your study breaks and weekends by exploring the celebrated sandy beaches, historic mansions, and fine collection of vineyards. A cultural center The region also provides many ways to spark your ideas and creativity. On campus you will find the Steinberg Museum of Art. Designed to support a liberal arts education, the Collection is quite diverse; but has a focus on non-western art including Pre- Columbian and African textiles and sculpture, and Chinese painting. The acclaimed Tilles Center for the Performing Arts is Long Island’s premier arts venue. Students can engage with innovative dance, music and comedy performances as well as enjoy the classics. City and sea At LIU Post, you do not have to choose between the opportunities of the city and the peaceful beauty of nature. New York City is less than an hour away by commuter train. Resources and mentors are there to help your endeavors. LIU IQ is a dynamic consulting program that empowers students to work on significant projects for companies around the world. As only the second university in the USA to have the prestigious Innovation Immersion Program, it was recently recognized by the European Commission as an exemplary university global collaboration. Students in LIU IQ work in partnership with global university alliance students from Israel, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Sweden, and more. Students in the program travel to foreign countries to learn about the market, meet with their client companies, and present their work to top management. This operational management experience gives students the opportunity to take classroom knowledge and transform it into analysis that impacts and influences real companies. Elevate your studies with elite programs Students who graduate with honors distinction belong to an elite community of alumni whose academic achievements will earn them special recognition among their colleagues and potential employers The experience is not just a trip to travel and see sights and learn about a culture. It is also one where we engage companies and create bonds that are life long bonds. Dr. Robert Valli, Dean of the College of Management and founder of LIU IQ 14
