The event was held on March7, 2023, at 2:00PM at International Seminar
hall and was attended by students, faculty, of the college.
On this occasion the chief Guest was Dr. Ganesh Sanjeev, Professor of
Physics, Mangalore University. He spoke on the topic of "Particulate Radiation
and its Application” He gave a detailed account of the discovery of Radiation
waves, their significance in the field of health care.
The talk was very informative and engaging, and the audience was captivated
by the professor's presentation. He also discussed the challenges faced in the
detection of Radiation and the potential for future research in this field.
The event was organized by the IEEE BIT Student Branch in association with
Basic Science Department, which aims to promote the development of
scientific and technological knowledge among its members. The branch organizes
various events and activities throughout the year, including workshops,
seminars, and guest lectures.
The Science Day celebration was a great success.. The event provided a
platform for the students to learn about the latest developments in science
and technology and interact with experts in the field.
The IEEE BIT Student Branch plans to organize similar events in the future
to promote scientific and technological knowledge and create a platform for
students to interact with experts in their respective fields.
The prizes were distributed for the winners of various completion held. Dr.
S.I Manjur Basha, Principal of BIT-Mangalore, gave presidential remarks. Dr.
Anjum Khan, HOD Basic Science welcomed the gathering. Dr. Aziz Mustafa,
Principal of BIES spoke on Importance of Science and technology. While Prof.
