2. To evolve and implement a new programs of teacher education that would
provide education and training to prospective teachers that aim at
development of new integral development of teachers.
To train prospective teachers based on globally benchmarked curriculum
with ideas gleaned from the fusion of the intellectual traditions of India and
the West.
To equip teachers with the competencies requisite for dealing with the 21st
century issues of the choices and challenges of students.
To impart teacher training which enables the prospective teachers to see the
obtaining world in the new light of universal human values.
To promote the indigenous tradition of teacher-student relationship (Guru-
Shishya parampara) in various fields of humanities, arts, crafts, sciences,
technologies and yoga (psychological and physical education).
To publish and disseminate results of advanced research relating to teachers'
education for purposes of advancement of capacities to teach and learn
among professional teachers as also among parents, social educators and
social workers.
To promote national and international cooperation in teachers' education as
also in the development of teaching-learning material through online
programs, documentaries, musical and dramatic programs and films.
Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) is the State Public University
established in 2010.Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), is a brainchild
of the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi Ji. He aimed to
establish an institute which would produce world class teachers and export them
to the world. The objective is when world is facing shortage of teachers, he
wanted India to lead from the front.
"If you send a businessman to a foreign land, he controls dollars, but if you send
a teacher s/he would control the whole generation". Modi Ji used to say.
Shri Narendra Modi is one of the few such visionaries who thought that 21st
century education would not just consist of a degree but an all-inclusive setup,
and hence the idea of innovative, residential, integrated degrees was brought in
to existence. To lend a material shape to the best educational philosophies from
across the world, a team of experts led by legendary Indian academician and
philosopher Shri Kireetbhai Joshi and other scholars of national and international
stature came together to design the curriculum of IITE.
The main aim of this university is to nurture teachers of tomorrow with the
transformative knowledge of Indian tradition and usher in a new era of teacher
education, focusing upon the integral development of teachers. Also it provides
integrated courses in teacher education, marked and defined by value-education,
global outlook, and interdisciplinary. IITE is offering B.Sc. B.Ed., M.Sc. M.Ed,
B.A. B.Ed., M.A. M.Ed., B.A./B.Sc. B.Ed. (Special Education) and B.Ed. M.Ed.
integrated programs in teacher education. The major objectives of the Institute is
About the University
Science is a knowledge and scientific research generates new knowledge
which is helpful in growth and development of future worldwide. As we know
that the current year is declared as the international year for Basic Sciences
for Sustainable Development. The aim is to focus link basic sciences and the
Sustainable Development Goals. The basic sciences are defined as the
scientific disciplines of Physics, mathematics, chemistry, and biology. They
are called basic sciences because they provide a fundamental understanding of
natural phenomena and the processes by which natural resources are
transformed. So from such researches and seminars we will have a unique
opportunity to convince students, academicians and common people that
through a basic understanding of nature which is nature of science. Also all
the students and academicians researchers can take actions that will be more
effective, for the common good as well for the whole globe. A basic
understanding of natural phenomena which is taught in the Basic Sciences is
required for creating a broad vision to human imagination and the
organisations. Science is knowledge, and scientific research generates new
knowledge. This new knowledge improves human health and well-being, in
particular health by improving the detection and treatment of diseases, the
quality of our food, and our interaction with the environment an overall the
issues of the globe. The most fundamental scientific knowledge is the basis of
what we call basic scientific research. Often such research does not set out to
solve a given problem, but to explore new problems and inspire others. It is
often many years, even decades or more, before the value of basic scientific
research is appreciated and recognizable, and widely-appreciated applications
are generated.
However, the value of basic research studies is not readily appreciated by
neither by common people, nor even by young students of science. Indeed, it
is not always evident, even for highly trained scientists that specific basic
research will lead to breakthroughs which will become the pillar for solving
the future problems.
To The main objective of the seminar is to spread awareness of the basic
sciences to the young researchers to sensitize the current and future
generation about the sustainable development. They can learn the global
issues as well being aware of problems across the country and the globe and
can lead to the possible solution to it.
This year is observed internationally as the ‘International Year of Basic
Sciences for Sustainable Development’. The International Science Council is
proud to support this International Year celebrating basic sciences. As this
year GUJCOST is also the event partner of the International Year of Basic
Sciences for Sustainable Development. So with support of GUJCOST we are
organizing the National Seminar on “Advances in Physical Sciences for
Sustainable Development”

This national conference would consider papers presenting to the them on
“Recent Trends in Physical Science for Sustainable Development”.
However, following sub – themes are being given to help the participants
in preparing papers:
Objective of the Conference
The National Conference mainly focuses on multidisciplinary
development in physical sciences in all the aspects. Basic sciences
and emerging technologies respond to the needs of humankind by
providing access to information and increasing the health and well-
being of individuals, communities, and societies. According to NEP
– 2020, its necessary and an importance of basics sciences for
suitable development in various fields. With this broad vision of our
prime minister shree Narendra Modi, Department of Physics, COE,
IITE proposed the national conference on “Advances in Physical
Sciences for Sustainable Development” which to be provide a good
platform for the presentation of new developments and research
results in the frontiers of Physics. The conference aims to bring
together leading academicians, scientists, researchers and students to
exchange and share their experiences and research results about all
aspects of Physical Sciences. This will definitely will have impact on
for observing and raising awareness of the importance of basic
sciences for sustainable development, in accordance with national
priorities.
In the present era of globalization, the competitive products require
key ingredients such as innovative features, rapid developments,
continuous upgrades and technological and research developments.
To achieve this goal, it is important to develop and use innovative
ideas and techniques in designs and incorporate the same in the
growth of physical science and engineering. Currently, intensive
research is being carried out using theoretical, computational and
experimental approaches. New developments have led to dynamic
advances during recent years. The objective of this conference is to
bring the scientists, academicians, and researchers, in the field of
Physical Sciences on a common platform to exchange ideas and their
recent findings related to latest advances and applications for
sustainable development.
