The role is very critical in managing high net worth deals for the bank and needs focused and accurate
decision making ability, ensuring adequate and profitable closure of all deals. Besides, direct coordination
with treasury operations for optimum closure of deal tickets and coordination with Central Bank, other
local and international correspondent banks for trading operations. The level of decision making
responsibility/authority operates under the specific direction of the treasurer, treasury policies and
procedures, regulator/industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
 Perform day to day trades for various funding and position covering. Provide rates to sales and
customer transactions efficiently. Execute trades at profitable levels to achieve the desk
objectives.
 Quote foreign exchange spot/forwards and options in major foreign currencies, within the
authorized limits and policy.
 Trade in permissible currencies within permissible Stop Loss Limit.
 Establish rates based upon Interbank / market rates, size of transaction involved, stability of
market, and bank's balances available to fund customer requirements.
 Ensure that all transaction limits which have been set are adhered to control and maintain proper
records of transactions and ensure bank's liquidity positions are within prescribed MCO limits.
 Control "Cost-to-Close Limit", "Net Open Position Limit", and "Total Position Limit" on daily basis.
 Help and advise other units/ divisions within the bank to enhance the bank profitability.
 Ensure the open exposures are well within the risk exposure prescribed by the Bank policies and
manages the position within the risk limits allotted.
 Maintain relationship with treasury sales & corporate RMs to develop a strong understanding of
GIB's client needs.
 Develop relationship with the Bank's corporate clients to provide services and recommend
appropriate client solutions.
 Build professional relationship with counterparty banks and financial institutions to stay up to date
on market developments and transaction of business.
 Develop good knowledge & understanding of market dynamics and trends [fundamental and
technical picture] to enable timely update to clients and senior management with respect to
significant market trends/ ideas in the foreign exchange market and currency options.
 Prepare weekly market report for distribution to the Bank's customers.
 Maintain full working knowledge of the systems being used by the Unit [Reuters, Bloomberg &
Treasury Systems like Murex or any other application].
 Ensure all treasury trading polices and bank guidelines are complied with, keeping in line with the
international treasury trading procedures.

Qualifications
 9 years of progressive experience with banks in trading and managing FX & currency
options.
 SAMBA Financial Group: Foreign Exchange Automation project for retail banking.
 GIB: Wholesale and treasury internal system project implementation.
 GIB: Meem Retail Project.
 Bachelor’s degree from King Fahad University for Petroleum and Minerals – Marketing
Management.
Experience Skills
 Strong communication skills and presentation skills.
 Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
 Thorough understanding of treasury products, markets, trading skills; transfer pricing.
 Good knowledge of global and international foreign exchange markets.
 Good grasp of technical analysis of dealing scenarios and charts.
 Proactive attitude with regards to market intelligence and developments.
