4. Introduction
Nishat Mills Ltd, established in 1953, is the flagship company of the group and represents the textile
division.
Today, Nishat Mills is the most modern and the biggest vertically integrated set up in Pakistan, with
annual turnover of $575 million.
Nishat Mills has about 300,000 spindles divided into 8 spinning mills, 800 looms, processing (dyeing,
bleaching, printing) capacity of 9 million meters per month operationally divided into 2 plants and 3
stitching units (one for garments) and two for home textiles with approx. 700 sewing machines.

5. Textile Processing
Spinning
Nishat Mills Spinning Division has
over 300,000 spindles, which are
operationally organized into 8 spinning
units. capacity of 9 million meters per
month. The entire machinery is from world-
renowned manufactures. All yarns made at
Nishat are Ring Spun suitable for both
knitting and weaving. Besides the best
Pakistani cotton, long stapled American,
Egyptian and US Pima cotton is also used
for fine counts. For our strong belief in
product development and innovation we
have our own in house state of the art
cotton and yarn testing laboratories. Nishat
spinning is one of the most trusted brands
in the market due to its efficient production
and quality.
Weaving
Nishat Mills Weaving division has 670
modern Air Jet and projectile looms which
produce approximate 9.0 million meters of
fabric per month and makes it the largest
weaving facility of Pakistan catering to
home textile and apparel fabrics.
100 % Cotton and Poly Cotton fabrics, in
Plain weaves, Twills, Drills Satins (regular /
broken & striped), Bedford Cords,
Herringbones, Pique and Rib Cords.
Bleaching
Pre-Treatment department possesses state
of the art machines which are special in
their own unique way. 110 meters long
bleaching range has 18 washing tanks
(double saturation) twice the size of the
contemporary industry standard.
Mercerizing machines are also of long
range with extra capabilities to enhance
dyestuff absorbency thus providing luster to
fabric surface. Pre-Treatment section is
strengthened by huge investments made
over years to add value to our products.
NDF has invested heavily in acquiring
different types of Emerizing machines with
emery, diamond and brushing techniques. A
true Moleskin machine is part of our exclusive
range.
6. Textile Processing
Dyeing
Three ranges of best Thermo-sole
continuous dyeing machines have the
capability of dyeing with Vat, Reactive &
Pigment dyestuffs. All dyestuffs are
imported from Europe to ensure highest
quality standards.
NDF is Oeko-Tex certified, conforming our
products for all brands & genders.
Finishing
Finishing has an utmost importance for any
dyeing & finishing plant. We at NDF are
capable of doing exclusive chemical
finishes including Nano resist spills, Teflon,
water repellency, wrinkle free precure &
postcure etc. NDF also carries exclusive
Airo Machine that is world known in giving
extra soft hand feel to processed fabrics.
The machine is highly recommended in
controlling shrinkages of both side stretch
fabrics. NDF also enjoys exclusivity in the
treatments of PU coating and blotch
printing. Our finishing facilities are
considered to be the best in the region with
versatile techniques and hardware.
Quality Control
At NDF, we conduct 100% inspections of
our finished products based on 4 point
American system. Our Quality Control
Department & Lab are equipped with state
of the art machines & highly skilled
personnel. The Quality Control lab is in the
process of getting accreditation from ITS.
As soon as the process is completed, it will
be the first of its kind lab in Pakistan.
