A research on sleep deprivation
among current Mapua students

             Topic
Questions:

1.What is sleep deprivation?

2.How does current Mapuan students manage their
resting time while studying?

3.What are the good and bad effects of sleep
deprivation among the currents Mapuan students?

4.What are the symptoms that you are having if you
suffer sleep deprivation?

5.Is there any possibilities that you can avoid sleep
deprivation?
A Mapuan has less time to sleep because of the
school work that is needed to be submitted in a
             short period of time.

              Thesis Statement
I. Introduction

  1.1 Background

  We all know that Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) is a
  quarter system. Professors are trying to compact the
  lesson in just eleven weeks. In that case, the students here
  in Mapua need to work twice than other college students
  here in the Philippines.
II. Body
2.1 The Institute has a quarter system that
requires a student to work fast.


       2.1.1 A term is good for 11 weeks

       2.1.2 There are 3 major exams per course per term,
       despite the fact that there will be quizzes and other
requirements.

         2.1.3 Due to the time given per term, the professors
has to teach 1-3 lesson for them to finish their lesson plan in
11 weeks, this is why Mapuan students must have the
ability to follow.
2.2 Natural calamities has a big role on affecting
student's schedule for their studies.


       2.2.1 If Mapua suddenly announced that there will be no
       classes for that day, those has make-up classes will
struggle for double effort.

      2.2.2 There are unexpected conditions in which affects the
      student especially when he/she has a group project/work
      that has to be done.
2.3 Time management, complicated schedules and
travel distance makes the student more stressed.


       2.3.1 Students have a hard time to do their project,
homeworks and thesis that is why they stay up late and
because of that most students were in Mapua having sleep
deprivation.

      2.3.2 Most students are far from MIT and most of them
      are going home late, and when they got home they have
      school works to do and they need to wake up early, that
      is why they are lack of sleep.
