This housing project in Ahmedabad, India, draws from traditional local architecture by providing outdoor spaces for clusters and communities. Inspired by the traditional courtyards and "pols" of the old city, the design incorporates summer terraces for sleeping and cross ventilation for climate response. The high-density, low-rise development includes a central garden and pedestrian-oriented layout with public, semi-private, and private transitional spaces.
