7. Sharon’s Biography
Sharon returned to the FUN 107 morning show in 2001 after
leaving for several years to work in television.
A native of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Sharon graduated with
honors from Bridgewater State College with a degree in Speech
Communication and a concentration in radio and television
production.
Her broadcasting career began at WPEP-AM in Taunton. Sharon
has worked in radio in Boston, Providence and Orlando.
Her television career includes working as a news anchor for ABC 6
in Providence, RI. While at ABC 6 Sharon also covered major news
events in and around Southern New England.
Sharon has also anchored and produced, Southcoast Hospital’s
“Your Health Matters.” A television series which aired throughout
Bristol County Massachusetts.
In November of 2001 Sharon left the bright lights of television
behind to reunite with JR. Together they hosted the most
listened to FM morning radio show in southeastern,
Massachusetts.
