DESCRIPTION : Design conducted for various materials like INCONEL750, SAE01 and for various cross
sectionslike circular,square,and rectangularbyusing3Dparametricsoftware CATIA V5R 20.
By comparing results for circular, rectangle and square coil of SAE 1050 carbon steel and INCONEL750
material in circular coil deformation and shear stress are lower as compared to rectangular and square
cross section. In rectangular and square coils maximum shear stress is observed at the corners of the
cross section.
Circular coils are more preferable for practical applications as compared to square and rectangular
helical coils.
