WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
• 21 year-old American Jordan Spieth won the 2015 Masters with a record-
setting 72-hole score of 18-under. Spieth had the most birdies ever (28),
was the youngest 18-hole leader ever, and was the first wire-to-wire
winner since Raymond Floyd in 1976.
• Spieth followed his first major win by immediately winning his next at the
U.S. Open in June. He beat fellow American Dustin Johnson by one
stroke, becoming just the 6th player in history to win the Masters and U.S.
Open in the same year.
• Going for his 3rd major of the year in August, Spieth lost the PGA by three
strokes to Australian Jason Day, himself a first-time major winner. Day set
a new record for a major, going 20-under to best Tiger Woods’ previous
record of 19-under at the 2000 British Open.
• Spieth ended 2015 with 5 PGA Tour victories and a tour-leading
$12,030,465 in tour earnings. Consequently, Spieth was named PGA
Player of the Year and awarded the Jack Nicklaus Trophy, Arnold Palmer
Award, Byron Nelson Award, Vardon Trophy, and FedEx Cup.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
• American Brittany Lincicome won the ANA Inspiration in April, the
LPGA’s first major of the 2015 season, forcing a playoff with an eagle
on the 72nd hole, then outdueling Stacy Lewis on the third extra hole to
win her second major championship.
• South Koreans Inbee Park and Chun In-gee won the next three LPGA
majors in June and July. Park’s victories at the Women’s PGA
Championship and Women’s British Open were her 6th and 7th career
LPGA major wins. For 20 year-old Chun, her victory at the U.S.
Women’s Open was her first LPGA major win.
• At only 18, New Zealander Lydia Ko became the youngest winner in 49
years of the LPGA Tour’s Player of the Year award. Ko earned the
award by winning five 2015 LPGA tournaments, including one major
(The Evian Championship). Ko also won the Race to the CME Globe
and led the LPGA money list with earnings over $2.8 million.
• 22 year-old Korean Sei-Young Kim was named 2015 Rookie of the
Year after winning 3 LPGA tournaments.
