TRUE RICHES
4. PORPOISE
It is the last cousin of
dolphin, which is still
swimming in our sea.
But they are less smart
and never become
attached to human.
They are more
independent. They
could vanish soon, it is
only 450 of them for that
moment.
5. GREATER WEEVER
One of the strangest animals
in the Baltic, and original,
too. It is a very small fish
but, what is interesting, the
most poisonous in the
whole Europe! Fortunately,
this rare species usually
swims far from edge and
apperas only sometimes.
6. JELLYFISH
They are one of the oldest
animals in the world. The
biggest probability to meet
it is in the winter, when the
wind is strong. Its body can
reach almost 2 meters! They
can burn skin and it hurts
but they are not the cause of
death.
7. FLORA
It is called sea lettuce.
This plant is from green
algae’s family. It grows in
west-south part of the sea.
It is edible but some
voices say that not tasty.
The Japanese use it to
compose their dishes
instead of vegetables.
8. ALGAE
They look like forks, so
that’s why they are called
similar. In the Baltic Sea
their number is really
high. Their colour can be
red or black. They can
create meadow under the
water.
10. POLLUTION
The Baltic Sea is one of the
youngest seas but one of the
dirtiest, too. Already 10 % of
the bottom becomes a desert ,
pleace where nothing exists. It
is scary. Within 25-30 years the
life in the water could be
totally destructed.
