surgical site. Retractors come in different shapes and sizes, depending
on anatomical location.To minimize trauma to the retracted organs and

A retractor is a surgical instrument used to separate
the edges of a surgical incision or wound, or to hold
back underlying organs and tissues so that body

4. Types of Surgical Retractors
There are two broad categories of retractors .
