In our final product, we used a lot of key
film elements such as camera angles,
shot types, mise en scene, sound and
many more to represent social groups or
issues surrounding people. We expressed
the feelings of the actors mainly through
camera angles rather than the common
use of shot types.

Camera angles were the method we used
because it was more appropriate than
using shot types because the intro we
filmed was vague, in a way that forced us
to shorten the length of the final product,
and by doing that it, the other characters
will have to be included, so we were more
on the economical side of using in-depth
shot types and replaced them with
appropriate angles.

The first wide shot, is of three young boys playing
in the pool, and one wearing all black -use of mise
en scene- sitting alone on the edge of the pool away
from the others. The following shot is of the three
boys playing video games, while Caballo, the main
character, is sitting alone again on a couch. The
angle used was a low angle, to show how Caballo is
in an entirely different atmosphere, and by looking
at his costume and general face expressions, the
atmosphere he’s in is possibly dark and gruesome.
