2. Objectives
 STS to yourself as an individual from a third world country
 Use of internet to your day to day life, and how it has impacted your world view
 The relationship between science and technology and individuals, therefore, is becoming close and
inseparable
 S & T has inspired me to create more innovations and discover new knowledge for the benefit of the
Filipino people as I have been made aware of the different issues our nation is facing.

3. Essay
• Since the start of the course, I have learned about the different
technologies employed from the ever-advancing science of our
ancestors up to this day. As an individual born in the 21st century,
science and technology has had a significant impact on me
especially that members from my generation are also known to be
digital natives. Thus, I would say that information technologies
would have the most impact over different aspects of my life. For
instance, the relationship between science & technology and my
student life is something which has been inalienable.

4. Essay
• I have been able to notice how our curriculum is tailor-fit for the
contextualization of the daily use of technologies and the science
that accompanies it as the theory. Aside from that, the application
of science and technology in my education has greatly helped me
expand my horizonAs. In this era of information, I have access to the
latest scientific journals, comprehensive documentaries, and rich
databases. However, I have also come to realize that this
information era caused by the advancement of technology has its
consequences.

5. Essay
• I could say that science and technology has had a significant impact
on my worldview. And of course, this should also be the same
experience for my peers. However, what deviates us from each
other is the responsible media consumption and production.
Therefore, as a Filipino, I can attest how science and technology has
affected the dynamics of Philippine politics. As we live in a society
with a governing body, any influence science and technology have
over our politics, ripples out within the folds of government which
can be lethal when used as a catalyst for corruption, fascism, and
historical distortion most of all.

6. Essay
• This is primarily the reason why science and technology has
penetrated deeper into our society, affecting the lives of many.
Thus, we have a responsibility to reap the benefits while carefully
considering the risks it may pose to us as individuals, and as a
society.

7. Essay
• While it was indicated in the article that the missed opportunity to
reduce one’s labor from the missing appliance. There were instances
when my newly realized consciousness about climate change and
my individual impact to the society in terms of carbon footprint, I
have purposefully deprived myself of the use of such technologies
whenever possible.
