The effect of leaf extracts of Calotropis procera and Datura metal on phyllosphere microflora of Pennisetum typhoides has been investigation. The different concentrations of the leaf extracts of the two plants were tried. The extracts above 4% concentration in both cases proved inhibitory for certain phyllosphere fungi. The inhibitory property of leaf extracts of two plants, however, differed with regard to certain fungal species. The leaf extract of D. metal proved to be more effective than that of C. procera. The spore germination of certain fungal species was considerably lowered in the extract of the two plant species.
