2. OVERVIEW
2012 was an exciting year for Hankenes. We have delivered on the
goals we set up at the beginning of the year and have created the
largest number of events so far, increased our visibility among
students and grown the ecosystem of entrepreneurs at Hanken.
We have arranged over 20 events and our largest seminar so
far, Banking 2.0, was a great success.
Our long term vision is to develop an ecosystem at Hanken that will
enable Hanken students to found competitive startups and make
Hanken the most entrepreneurial school in Finland. During 2012 we
have sought to further our vision by events targeted to our students, by
doing excursions and study trips and to increase the level of
cooperation with other universities and organisations who share our
vision for a more entrepreneurial Finland.
It was great to see that several of our members developed their own
ideas, started their own companies and started working for other
startups. Two teams from Hanken also participated in the startup
accelerator Summer of Startups.
