Advertisement: Video Response
Based on the video I learned that companies spend thousands or even millions
on advertising. Even though advertising does not necessarily make someone buy a
certain product. For example, a Pepsi commercial is being advertised with a girl model
like Sofia Vergara, she is in a bikini, is at the beach and is really thirsty, everyone starts
running after David Beckham the famous soccer player. But the model Sofia is focused
on trying to get through to get a hold of a Pepsi. Does that really make people buy a
Pepsi? Not exactly, but it does make someone keep a Pepsi in mind whenever they
want to buy a soda. Every company finds a way to advertise their products in movies,
commercials, sports games, etc. Advertisements are everywhere, which means every
company is going to do everything they can to be on top of every other company.
Advertisement keeps companies from running out of business, but they are also
spending a bunch of money to advertise their product/s. Advertisements help people
make choices when they want to buy a soda, candy, perfume, shoes, etc. If a certain
perfume is popular or maybe just because a person’s favorite celebrity is the one
promoting the perfume they buy it. There are so many choices when buying products,
so advertisement helps people narrow their choices and choose the most commonly
seen or heard of. If a product is not so advertised people will not buy it because they
think that product is not good. Advertisement is the key to business.
