School Site Council Teacher Request Procedures
School-Based Coordinated Program expenditures must support the objectives, strategies, and
action plans written in the Single Plan for Student Achievement. The Single Plan for Student
Achievement is an instrument used to provide accountability for the school and provide
information for the Program Quality Review and Coordinated Compliance Review and WASC.
Additionally it is an assessment for leadership and program development. The goal of School-
Based Coordinated Programs is to allow school sites greater flexibility in coordinating the state
funds they receive.
To ensure compliance the following procedures must be followed before submitting a
teacher request to the school site council.
1. Determine how your request supports the Single Plan for Student Achievement
(SIPSA). On your written request form clearly indicate the page number and
paragraph that links your request to the plan and include any departmental
implementation links that support your request.
2. Provide a brief statement of how your request will enrich the instructional program at
Vintage High School.
3. Requests need to be submitted to the SIPSA Coordinator. Requests will be
considered once a year, Your request must be submitted by the due date in order to be
considered (no exceptions).
4. In granting teacher requests, the most important consideration will be whether or not
your request will have a direct and demonstrable impact on student learning. Another
concern is that funds be fairly and equitably distributed across departments (unless
certain departments fail to submit requests).
5. The SIPSA Coordinator may contact you for additional information. The SIPSA
Coordinator will inform you the day after the January meeting whether your request
was approved or denied.
Please remember to include tax, shipping and any other costs. If you have any further questions,
please see the SIPSA Coordinator.
**Funding for teacher requests will be made only once a year. No requests will be accepted
after the deadline. Thank you.
