birth, religion, property, etc.
• The equality of citizens should be
recognized by people in or out of this
country.
• In India, laws like the
UNTOUHABILITY ACT(1958) and
PREVENTION OF CIVIL RIGHTS
ACT(1976) have been made.

2. ACCOMMODATION OF
DIVERSITY
• In a society, people have different
beliefs, faiths, and opinions.
• In India, there are may people of
different
religions, languages, cultures, etc.
• The opinion of one group might not be
the same of the other and will lead to
problems.
• However, democracy allows people to
sit down and discuss issues together.
