1. Mise-un-scene: The location is outside, country like, isolated and is beside a cliff near the sea. The weather is partly cloudy and partly foggy which could symbolise something mysterious or evil has happened. Within the grassland their is a cap with two figures walking away from the cab. Cinematography: Firstly we start with a pan up from the sea then a zoom in toward the cliff where there is a birds eye view of a grass land area, as the camera tracks toward the grass land and extreme long shot of a cab and two figures (walking away from the cab.) are seen. Then close ups of the two figures body part apart from the faces are shown such as the hands legs. Then close ups and extreme close ups of blood, cap sat nave, licence and the cab drivers bloody hand and dead beat face are shown to hint and symbolise that the two figures are responsible for this. Which is proven when there is a extreme close up of a girl holding a knife covered in blood which presents that her and her partner/ friend was in on this murder. Then we get a mid shot of the two girls and lastly a close up of the girl with the knife dropping it which transitions into the title sequence which starts of with a blade like shape falling into a yellow background. Editing: within this scene the clips are mainly long as we are shown the location however the clips are shortened and the allot more cuts are put in when we get to the part where we see inside the cab, this could symbolise the haste and brutality of the struggle between the cab driver and the two girls. Sound: apart from the opening title sequence no music was played. Instead diagetic sounds were used such as and eerie wind, a running car and foot steps. These diagetic sounds created a eerie and thriller like atmosphere
