The amount of bandwidth a hosting company can provide is determined by their network connections. Bandwidth is the size of the collection of frequencies that a signal uses on a given communication device. Bandwidth measures amount of data that can be sent over a network connection in a given amount of time.

3. Bandwidth and the Internet Bandwidth is used to describe the amount of data that can initially be transmitted to and from a website in a set period of time. Web hosts have a monthly bandwidth which allows downloading for visitors. The quality of the bandwidth affects your internet service provider. A low bandwidth can affect the connection of a fast disk drive. A high bandwidth can receive a streaming video at a higher rate than a low bandwidth.
