Physical learning spaces in schools can impact student learning. There are five key learning spaces that include the classroom and school which value an inclusive curriculum, interaction between students, and students having an active role in their learning. Furniture in these spaces should be moveable to allow for different class and group configurations, as rigid furniture cannot utilize the full learning space. These key learning spaces also consider factors like space, light, ventilation, temperature, and acoustics to allow students to interact with equipment and each other in a play-based learning environment.
