During the last three years, Android has
increased its lead in the smartphone market
from 32% in 2011 to 73% end of 2013.
It is expected that Android will increase its
market share to 78% in 2014, due to churning
Blackberry users but also due the increasing
inflow of low priced Android devices, which
saw a 400% uptake in 17 northeastern
provinces last year. The average entry
smartphone price is 2,500 THB.
