Exploring E Learning 2007 Project Report - Presentation Transcript

    1. A Collaborative summary report from the State Wide LearnScope Team 2007
      • A Start of a new adventure. It was great to see and meet other team members. We received overview of what we will be doing for the next 9 weeks, and tried out several new tools. I was all fired up and couldn’t wait for the first online meeting !!!! (Lella)
      • ‘ Delicious’ but I need to relax with this for a while. See you all online. (Richard)
      • Well Day 1 was an eye-opener about the new horizons we will explore. It was great to meet a whole new bunch of people. I thought I had a handle on most of what we explored, but now feel like a complete novice again since my computer won't let me log in to DiscoverE....grrrr!!! (Jen)

    3.
      • Great fun creating cartoons and animation - could see how this could 'pep' up delivery (Amanda)
      • Amanda: this is a good You Tube on social bookmarking (view at home if a DET person) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x66lV7GOcNU
One of my students, Cassidy Ho, created this animation in class:Richard http://www.dvolver.com/live/movies-46600
      • During the program I participated in using EdNA in which I now have a group and will be using this to showcase resources across KLA’s. This will bolster work I am doing with integrating TaLE resources into the curriculum. (Brendan)
      • Joined lots of network groups and used ‘Netvibes’ aggregator for updates (Amanda)
      • We had live sessions with Bruce Enting & Cathy Baxter to show the team what’s available on Edna and the Networking of the AFLF
      • Encouraged to join in network events and explore what’s on offer.
    4.
      • Enjoyed the personal focus time which allowed us to explore (with Viv's help) (Amanda)
      • With Lella, created a WetPaint wiki for our project - interesting site which will take a while to get our heads around fully but we continue to work on it.  This site will be explored in November at the next PD day for Women's Strategy Officers. (Amanda)
      • The highlight of this project for me was to create first my own Wiki in wet paint about my art and mosaic, (which was for the purpose of practice before creating something for others to see and use) and second in collaboration with Amanda created a Wiki for TAFE Women's Programs Unit and TAFE WSO's. (Lella)
      • Check out team photos on www.flickr.com tagged with ‘2007explorers’
      • Loved slideshow and flickr images - as I am very uncreative! (Amanda)
      • Jen used www.slide.com to create a personal family history record and embedded into her wikispaces
      • http://jenb58.wikispaces.com/
      • I did start doing some  exploring on digital story telling  - until I 'stumbled over' www.redbubble.com  . Red bubble is a really interesting website for art work -both digital and fine art.
      •
      • In my excitement I opened an account  http://www.redbubble.com/people/blueruby    In addition to this I have started to explore YouTube (mainly art lessons etc), my space and my face.
      • (Ruth)
      • My favourite new tools are Wikispaces, including associated tools like slide.com, Google docs and Google calendar for the ease of sharing information with a group and also De.lici.ous for access to your favourite Internet sites from any computer....marvellous (Jen)
I have changed my focus and instead designed a survey for my staff to complete. I sent it out today and will hopefully have the results by next week. I used surveymonkey - it was fun. jac
