Introduction
 I thought driving a car was easy and it just a
matter of sitting on the front seat
 Was I wrong and apart from learning the driving
skills, I learnt some very important life lessons

Getting a Driving license
 Getting a Driving license does not mean I can
drive on the road. I spend one day in a RTO office
and with slight help from the middleman had my
new driving license. I could not wait to drive but
soon I realized I was still a greenhorn

Life lesson-1
 In real life, getting a degree, certificates does not
mean you become a master and an expert on the
subject and you need to just give
orders/recommendations and be successful.
 Actual learning comes with experience and being
hands on

Driving on the road is very different
from driving in a driving school
 Driving on the road is very different from driving in
a driving school- Driving in a controlled environment
with no unexpected twists, turns and traffic is very
different from driving on real roads

Life lessons-2
 The classroom learnings are all theoretical and
simplistic and not complete. In practical life there
are too may complexities , uncertainties and
dynamics. You need to be in middle of things to
experience and learn them. No amount of theortical
studies can prepare you for this

It does not matter what car you drive
 It does not matter what car you drive- Driving skills
required are the same whether you drive a Maruti
800 or a BMW.

Life lessons-3
 It does not matter whether one works for a small
organization or a giant MNC
 The skill sets required to succeed for similar jobs is
the same regardless of the size of the
organization.

The more you learn about the car the
better driver you are
 The more you learn about the car the better driver
you are- Your driving skills will improve if you know
more about the mechanism and the car parts and
how they work

Life Lessons-4
 Similarly in an organization you can do your job
better if you know about the functioning/dynamics
of the other departments and organization’s
internal processes and workings.

A Good Driver will also meet with an
accident
 In spite of you being a good driver and following
all rules you might get hurt because of some other
drivers foolishness.
 You should not quit driving because of that just
move on

Life Lessons -5
 In life also you are sometimes punished because of
the circumstances caused by others action.
 It does not mean you are a failure. Just get up and
move on

Keep an Eye on traffic
 In driving you need to be careful not only of your
driving but also keep an eye on traffic and other
vehicles, to reach your destination.

Life Lessons -6
 In Life beside working for success you need to keep
an eye on your rivals, competitors, environment and
business dynamics to reach your goal, objective
 Also timing, luck and opportunity play a critical
role as well

Summary
 Getting a degree, certificates does not mean you become a
master and an expert on the subject
 Classroom learning’s are all theoretical and simplistic and
not complete
 Skill sets required to succeed for similar jobs is the same
 Can do your job better if you know about the functioning of
the other departments
 Sometimes punished because of the circumstances caused
by others action.
 Working for success you need to keep an eye on your rivals
competitors
