Business to business web video. We have a content partner who creates “hip replacement” videos, “shoulder repair” videos, and many others. He markets these videos to a database of 50,000 orthopedic surgeons to place on their websites so that the doctors can educate their patients and prospective patients. He needs help protecting and selling his streaming videos.
How-to and training DVDs. We have a content partner who creates high quality Kung fu training videos. Currently, he only sells DVDs on his website. He would also like to sell immediate streaming access to increase his revenues, but he is fearful his content will be pirated, which is a serious risk since creating and selling this commercial content is his livelihood.
User generated content. News, Comedy skits, celebrity sightings, and things we haven’t imagined yet. Just think if you caught a video of a major news event...would you upload it to YouTube or CNN’s iReport so they can make money off it, leaving you nothing but views? Or would you prefer to upload it somewhere where news sites would pay you to use your video? Hmmmm....
