BUSINESS SUBJECT
1. IMPORTANCE OF THE SUBJECT
Introduction
The 20+h
century is a ccntury of dcep changcs in the scientific and technological
growth, where the real challenge of any society is to develop
their patterns of organization in their social, política!
and economic structures.
The real challenge in the f ight of development
is to try to find a way to establish efficient communication and
in this century there has been a tremendous development
mainly in the industrial i zed countries.
2. IMPORTANCE OF THE BUSINESS
ENGLISH LAUGUAGE
Business English is the language of all the economic and commercial

3. TRADE THE BASES OF COMMERCIAL
DEVELOPMENT
Trade ¡s the unique way to develop any society. To trade means to
interchange domestic goods, industrial products, finished
goods, commodities, ser/'ces etc.
Trading is the economic transaction by means of which a person,
a social group or a society in general sell or buy something
considering a cost and looking for prof its.
4. INTERNATIONAL TRADE
The ¡nternational trading is absolutely important because it helps to develop the
domestic economy of different societies. The real challenge of any society in
order to develop its economy is to try to sell abroad(export) Basically finished
products and commodities or agricultura! products.
The great development of the ¡nternational trade created problems in the
commercial and economic aspect ¡n most of the countries, because all of them
take care of the economic interest, that's why it was necessary to organize and
control the importation and exportation managed by ¡nternational organization
which represent the basic interests on the industrialized and develop countries up
the economy of the different countries all over the world to this organization.
4.1 INTERNATIONAL ORGNIZATION FOR TRADE
There was a need to organize the different activities of the ¡nternational
transaction and appeared the instruction of importation and exportation as the
unique form to establish the ¡nternational commerce.
EnglishDepartmentPMV
THE ENGLISH NEVER SPEAK TO ANYONE l'NLESS THEY HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INTRODICED
It ¡s the ¡nternational transaction by means of which a country
buys(imports) finished goods, commodities, services, natural
resources, raw material, technology, machinery, etc.
Importation is normally negative, mainly for those
underdeveloped countries, because they usually import
finished goods and commodities, and in such way these
countries increase the ¡nternational debt. Unfortunately the
underdeveloped countries have a simple characteristic, they
are consumer's societies and they have a total lack of
production.
Importation is positive for a country when raw material, technology, machinery
are ought in such way importation serve to develop industry and production and
the domestic economy could develop, but it does not happen so, because it is
absolutely impossible to compete the industrialized societies.
4.3 EXPORTATION IMPORTANCE
It is the ¡nternational transaction by means of which a
country sells (exports) finished goods, commodities,
services, natural resources, raw material, technology
etc, to the other countries.
Perhaps the most important commercial
transaction for any country is exportation;
economically it is the unique form to develop the
domestic economy.
Exportation are negative and a ganger for a country when natural resources and
raw material are sold (exported), in such way we are destroying the bases of the
domestic economic.

5. THE CONQUEST OF INTERNATIONAL MARKETS
The challenge of the modern societies is to try to conquest
¡nternational markets, most of the countries of the world
over are in an open f ight to conquest new markets for their
industrialized or domestic products.

QUESTTONARY
EnglishDepartmentPMV

"ItaliaHighSchool'
The ¡ndustrialized countries has struggle with their
finished products most of the markets increasing the
dependence of the underdeveloped countries, that's why
the ¡nternational debt is been increased day after day in
the poor and underdeveloped societies, because they do
not have a chance to compete or to conquest markets for
their domestic products, this is why there is an unequal
economic distribution in the underdeveloped countries.
6. INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION
Corporation^are big organizations, with a tremendous economic power
mainly established in the developed and ¡ndustrialized countries. The
Corporation form the economic bases on the ¡ndustrialized countries
because they manage and control the forms of production and consumption of
markets.
The main characteristic of the corporation is that they not only produced to satisfy
their domestic markets.
ADVENTASES
• The ¡nternational corporation créate new possibilities of economic development
for the country because they open new Jobs, they invested big amounts of
money and implanted new forms of these administration and production .
• They cuate new necessities of consumption all of these helped to develop the
economic system of the country.

DES/D VENTASES
• The free exploitatíon of our natural resources and raw material without important
benef its to the country and the society.
• The lose of the economic resources because the profits of these corporation go to
the developed countries.
7. SUBSIDIARIES
Ford Motor Company These are domestic componies
which represent the capital 4ndjp¡econom¡c interests of the ¡nternational
corporation (mother cflmpany) in the other countries. The subsidiaries in our
country are called Transnational or multinationals, but they are ruled and
regulated by the Ecuadorian regulation and we have domestic subsidiaries Ex:
Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, General Tire.
8. TRUSTS
They are big economic organizations established in all the capitalist markets
devoted to control the development of the free competition. The trust in any
markets, are a real danger for the open commercialization, because they kill the
small competitors and try to finish or extermínate the free competition , trying to
be alone in the markets and transform in monopolies.
*■
9. MONOPOLIES
The monopolies are a real danger for the capitalist markets, because they have
eliminated the free competition and the small competitors and they implant their
products /^Cand prices in the markets, For example Petro comercial in our
country.
EnglishDepartmentPMV
THE ENGLISH NEVER SPEAK TO ANYONE UNLESS THEY HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INTRODUCED
Commercialization is the technique of making business in a very
competitive business world.
The free competition opened the door for a complete realization of
th« commercial activities according to the circumstances of the
offer and demand in the different markets.
11. MARKETING
Marketing is the technique to introduce the in order
to créate the necessity of consumption in order to
increase the sales.
Market is an economic term to describe a group of
people working and living together ready to
consume.
The commercialization studies he products as the unique form to satisfy the
necessities of consumption.
At the same time studies the CONSUMER as the unique goal of satisfaction.
The commercialization is the technique to make business in this country.
■
12. SALES
-It is the most important activity in the process of
production and commercialization.. The different techniques
of saling have changed according to the circumstances of
the markets, because the real challenge of any form of
saling is to satisfy completely to the customer, in such
circumstances, we try to open a normal market of consumption.

13. THE ECUADORIAN ECONOMICAL SYSTEM
The Ecuadorian economic system is i basically
conformed by three important organizations:
> La Junta Monetaria
> El Ministerio de Economía
Finanzas
> El Banco Central del Ecuador
LA JUNTAMONETARIA
This institution established the economic politic of the State according to the
¡nternational needs and the domestic needs. The basic problem is that the monetary
board normally established the economic politics of the state according to the
¡nternational politics of International Monetary Fund (FMI) and sometimes this
economic decisions are against the social aspiration of the Ecuadorian community.
MINISTERIO DE ECONOMIA Y FINANZAS
This institution collects and distributes all the taxes and tasas of any other kind of
contribution established by La Junta Monetaria or by other organism of the sate.
El ministerio de Finanzas rules the contribution according to the general bug get
of the state.
BANCO CENTRAL (CENTRAL BANK)
El Banco Central is the organization where all the money
collected by El Ministerio de Finanzas and the Central
Bank is the head of all the economic organizations of the
country. The Central Bank distributes the money
collected according to the general bug get and the
economic decisions of the state.

ECUADORIANCOMPANIES
14. ECUADORIAN COMPANIES
According to the law there are five types of legal companies in our country.
> Associated companies
> Silence Partnership companies
> Limited companies
> Anonymous societies
o Mixed companies
14.1 Associated companies
These types of organizations are not very common in our country. They are
generally small organizations formed by members of a single family or relatives
The main characteristic of this organization is that the member of the company
(partners), work in the company and they are all legally responsible of the
company.
14.2 Silence partnership companies
This type of companies are not very common in our country. The main
characteristic is that there are two kinds of partners:
a) The Silent Partners, who just only ¡nvest, but they do not have any legal
responsibilities and of course they do not work for the company.
b) The Active Partners, who ¡nvest, work and represent legally the company.
EnglishDepartmentPMV

"ItaliaHighSchool"
14.3 Limited Companies
This type of companies are the most common organizations, not only in Ecuador
but all over the world also. The main characteristic of this type of company is that
the partners declare a limited social capital an they are legally responsible just
only for the social capital declared, it means that in case of a bank ruptsy, the
partners will pay just only the social capital declared, so the responsibility is
limited.
SOCIAL CAPITAL.- is the total of the capital declared in a company.
14.4 Anonymous Societies
This type of organizations are
quite different from the others, because the partners are
transformed in stock holders. The
main characteristic is that the stock holder subscribes shares or stocks. The
shares or stocks are f iduciary documents which can be treated normally in
markets
If a Anonymous Society goes in a bank ruptsy the stock holders are obligated to
pay the total of the ruptsy, sometimes they have to pay including their personal
belongings.
14.5 Mixed Companies
The organizations of this type of companies are absolutely similar to the
anonymous society, the technique difference is that in the Mixed Company the
state comes one of the principal stock holder PARTNER.- is the one who
declares a social capital.
STOCK HOLDER.- us the one who subscribes or stock.

The real challenge in the f ight of development is to try to find a way to establish efficient communication and in this century there has been a tremendous development mainly in the industrial i zed countries. 2. TRADE THE BASES OF COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT Trade ¡s the unique way to develop any society. To trade means to interchange domestic goods, industrial products, finished goods, commodities, ser/'ces etc. Trading is the economic transaction by means of which a person, a social group or a society in general sell or buy something considering a cost and looking for prof its. 4. INTERNATIONAL TRADE The ¡nternational trading is absolutely important because it helps to develop the domestic economy of different societies. The real challenge of any society in order to develop its economy is to try to sell abroad(export) Basically finished products and commodities or agricultura! products. The great development of the ¡nternational trade created problems in the commercial and economic aspect ¡n most of the countries, because all of them take care of the economic interest, that's why it was necessary to organize and control the importation and exportation managed by ¡nternational organization which represent the basic interests on the industrialized and develop countries up the economy of the different countries all over the world to this organization. 4.1 INTERNATIONAL ORGNIZATION FOR TRADE There was a need to organize the different activities of the ¡nternational transaction and appeared the instruction of importation and exportation as the unique form to establish the ¡nternational commerce.
  • 6. EnglishDepartmentPMV THE ENGLISH NEVER SPEAK TO ANYONE l'NLESS THEY HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INTRODICED It ¡s the ¡nternational transaction by means of which a country buys(imports) finished goods, commodities, services, natural resources, raw material, technology, machinery, etc. Importation is normally negative, mainly for those underdeveloped countries, because they usually import finished goods and commodities, and in such way these countries increase the ¡nternational debt. Unfortunately the underdeveloped countries have a simple characteristic, they are consumer's societies and they have a total lack of production. Importation is positive for a country when raw material, technology, machinery are ought in such way importation serve to develop industry and production and the domestic economy could develop, but it does not happen so, because it is absolutely impossible to compete the industrialized societies. 4.3 EXPORTATION IMPORTANCE It is the ¡nternational transaction by means of which a country sells (exports) finished goods, commodities, services, natural resources, raw material, technology etc, to the other countries. Perhaps the most important commercial transaction for any country is exportation; economically it is the unique form to develop the domestic economy. Exportation are negative and a ganger for a country when natural resources and raw material are sold (exported), in such way we are destroying the bases of the domestic economic. • 8. EnglishDepartmentPMV THE ENGLISH NEVER SPEAK TO ANYONE UNLESS THEY HAVE BEEN PROPERLY INTRODIX'ED "ItaliaHighSchool' The ¡ndustrialized countries has struggle with their finished products most of the markets increasing the dependence of the underdeveloped countries, that's why the ¡nternational debt is been increased day after day in the poor and underdeveloped societies, because they do not have a chance to compete or to conquest markets for their domestic products, this is why there is an unequal economic distribution in the underdeveloped countries. 6. INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION Corporation^are big organizations, with a tremendous economic power mainly established in the developed and ¡ndustrialized countries. TRUSTS They are big economic organizations established in all the capitalist markets devoted to control the development of the free competition. The trust in any markets, are a real danger for the open commercialization, because they kill the small competitors and try to finish or extermínate the free competition , trying to be alone in the markets and transform in monopolies. *■ 9.
