    • If you are moving to Ireland to work you will need to register for a PPS Number (Personal Public Service). It is a unique identifier for use in any transactions you may have with public bodies.
    • To Apply:
    • Identify your local Social Protection Office
    • In the office you will need to show your passport and or birth certificate
    • Proof of address
    • Letter from employer
    • They will assist you through the necessary steps.
    • You will be notified of your PPS Number by the issue of a letter of notification, sent to your home address. This PPS number is used for all Government applications including Tax and Revenue.
