Spotlighting volunteers
In April, the community celebrated Touchmark volunteers. “They do so much for our community,
averaging over 100 hours of volunteer hours each month,” says Life Enrichment Director Amy Miller.
Two specific volunteers, Edith Ripplinger and Bob Keim, give back to the community in several
ways. Edith, who joined Touchmark in 2009, helps wherever she can. She works at the Coffee and
More Store, helps at parties, waters plants, serves on
committees, and more.
Bob is a full-time volunteer from the broader Bismarck
community. He makes a weekly stop, working in the
store, leading PO-KE-NO, calling Bingo, and offering his
gardening skills, when the opportunity arises.

Get in shape for summer
Welcome the summer with extra energy. Stop by and see what classes, equipment, and other options
are available to increase your fitness level and health. If you enjoy exercising with others, a class may be
great for you. If you’re looking for specific goals, stop by and talk to one of the club’s certified personal
trainers. They can create a program that will help you meet your goals.
Keep your strength year round!
Many people decide to skip strength training during the summer as they exercise more outside. But
maintaining your strength will help you be more effective in all your exercising (and in life!) If you have
questions about your current program, or a new program, set up a time to visit with a personal trainer.

{COLOR}FULL Living—How does your garden grow?
Master gardeners are some of the most passionate,
knowledgeable, and committed people I have ever
met. They spend hours learning all the pros and cons
of which plants need to go where. They assess soil,
sun, and shade needs as well as overall balance for the
environment and success for the garden. They dig in
and plant—usually in their own terrain and often in the
community—for a variety of causes and commitments
that serve neighborhoods, cities, citizens, and wildlife
and environmental goals. ...
