Basement wall sealers - How to seal basement walls
1.
2. Sealing Basement
Walls
Waterproof, strengthen, and protect
your basement walls and floor by sealing
it with a Foundation Armor concrete
sealer.
Foundation Armor concrete sealers do
not change the look or color of the
concrete. Once the crystallization has
fully matured, the basement walls and
floor can be paint, stained, coated, or
finished.
Sealers are guaranteed for a lifetime.
3. FOUNDATION ARMOR TM SEALERS STOP: FOUNDATION ARMOR TM SEALERS INCREASE:
Water and vapor migration up to 100psi •Overall strength, hardness, and density by up to 45%
Moisture vapor transmission up to .015 WVT •Bond strength of epoxies, paints, and stains by up to
Alkali attack and efflorescence attack
20%
FOUNDATION ARMOR TM SEALERS REDUCE:
Transmission of hazardous gases, including FOUNDATION ARMOR TM SEALERS:
Radon NEVER peel, flake, or fade
The absorption of chemicals, chlorides,
solvents, fats and oils NEVER stain from exposure to UV rays
Internal chlorides by up to 50%-90% NEVER leave behind a slippery surface coating
NEVER have to be re-applied or maintained
FOUNDATION ARMOR TM SEALERS PREVENT:
The growth of mold, mildew, bacteria,
lichen, and moss
Flaking, cracking, scaling and spalling
caused during freeze-thaw cycles
Surface deterioration and discoloration
4. Water plus cement produces Calcium Silicate Hydrate (C-S-H) in a
process known as Hydration. C-S-H is the binding system for
concrete. Combined with the aggregate, C-S-H gives concrete its
hardness and strength.
A reactive byproduct of the Hydration process is Calcium Hydroxide.
When a Foundation Armor concrete sealer is applied to concrete,
it reacts with the existing Calcium Hydroxide to produce additional
C-S-H. This additional C-S-H is what provides the increased
hardness and densification by up to 45%, and water resistance up
to 100 PSI.
Foundation Armor concrete sealers have the highest percentage of
reactive material, and are optimized to make the silicate available
more quickly for more rapid C-S-H formation.
5. Clean the concrete, make sure it is free of
paints, stains, sealers, and anything that will
prevent a sealer from penetrating.
Dilute the Armor sealer of choice with the
required amount of water.
Using a garden sprayer, saturate the concrete
with the diluted sealer.
Let dry.

Retail: $109.95/Gallon
Armor S1000 TM – Where To Use
The Armor S1000 TM concrete sealer can be used on:
Interior and exterior concrete, above and below grade.
Vertical and horizontal uncoated concrete surfaces.
Poured concrete, concrete bricks, concrete blocks, concrete slabs, concrete
pavers, and stamped concrete.
New and old concrete.
Concrete with water, moisture, vapor, and radon permeability issues.
Armor S1000 TM – Preparation
New concrete must cure for a minimum of 28 days.
Concrete must be free of paints, stains, oils, chemicals, sealers, and dyes.
Remove any efflorescence, mold, or mildew prior to application.
Surface can be swept or power washed prior to application.
Armor S1000 TM – Application
Dilute Armor S1000 TM sealer with 3 parts warm to hot water.
Using a garden sprayer, spray on surface of concrete.
Immediately following the first coat (wait at least 30-45 minutes
between coats), apply a second coat.
Roll out any puddles with a brush or roller, or wipe up an excess
materials with a clean cloth.
Use product when temperature is between 50-900F (10-320C).
Armor S1000 TM Dry Time
Let dry 24 hours.
Armor S1000 TM Coverage
One gallon of the Armor S1000 TM is diluted with 3 parts warm water and covers up to 1,250 square feet. For old or porous concrete, or for
applications that require a third coat, expect one gallon to cover up to 700 square feet.
