Editor's Notes Alternative Items from the Stock Query: - There would have been times when the customer would have declined to purchase from us due to price factor or color choice or even because the specific product is not available with us, the reason for the customer to decline purchase from us is due to our inability to offer alternatives. Stock query report gives an option of checking alternative products. For example customer asked for a laptop of Sony, if you don’t have that particular brand in your godown, you will be able to offer some other product with the same configuration, instead of loosing the opportunity of selling to the customer. Let us assume the person is ready to purchase item and wanted to make the payment in credit card. How do we enter the same in Tally. POS sales invoice from tally gives you that flexibility to enter all the details. This reports will give a clarity and quality of the details . Let us assume ,you have sold one computer to one client. The customer wants someone from the showroom and install the same in his house or his office. We may have to charges the installation charges , if we are charging the installion charges, we need to charge the service tax ….. Etc. How do we do ….. If you are raising the invoice in paper, it atleat takes 5 to 6 minutes. In that time at least you can handle one more customer. Let us see how tally can solve this problem, just need to select the ledgers and Tally will automatically calculate the service tax, Vat and raise the Invoice. This billing can be done in 1 minutes. You all know how much important is the time. So if you can save even two three minutes will create more differents . Isn’t it ?.
