Introduction to using Transactional Analysis (Ref: I.TA)

Making the Most of Personality (Ref: MMPS)
Learning objectives:

Getting What You Want from Communication & Relationships (Ref: WCR)

Using Interpersonal Sensitivity in times of Conflict with Difficult People (Ref: SDP)
Learning objectives:
Know 2 deep vulnerabilities that exist in all of us
Recognise what are the relational needs for both vulnerabilities

Learning objectives:

Unwavering Self-Esteem (Ref: USE)
Learning objectives:
Explain the differences & similarities of self-esteem and self-confidence
Develop self-nurturing / self-protection

Assertiveness (in one-to-one and group situations) (Ref A.OG)
Learning objectives:
Identify submissive and aggressive behaviours.
Know how to use personal authority in an ‘OK’ way.
Name and choose 3 strategies of self-assertiveness for use in personal and/or work life.
Duration: 1 day.
Level 2.
TA Based. Must have attended ‘Introduction to TA’.
N.B – this course is similar in content to ‘Using Transactional Analysis for Avoiding Power Games’ but focuses more on managing ones own assertiveness, as apposed to dealing with others and focusing on looking at what happens between the two parties.
Avoiding Power Games (in one-to-one transactions) (Ref:APG)
Learning objectives:
Define ‘legitimate authority’ and ‘power-over’.
Explain the structural analysis of both of the above
Demonstrate the ability to apply resistance of temptation to use ‘power over’, and move into ‘legitimate authority’.
Duration: 1 day.

N.B – this course is similar in content to ‘Using Transactional Analysis for Assertiveness’ but focuses more on dealing assertively with another person, rather than managing ones own assertiveness in a general way. .

Explain the uses of CBT
Demonstrate the usefulness of correcting secondary thinking.

Dissipating Anxiety (Ref: DAX)

Know how to not collude with underlying beliefs that are supporting anxiety states.

Describe both of the two arms of NLP and explain why they are equally important.

I have a current CRB form, so I am able to legally work with young people or vulnerable adults.

My training style is to use a variety of approaches within each training course.
For example, a typical one day course would contain: some vocally presented information, some power point, some facilitative style, exercises or practice activities or group discussions, written materials and handouts for delegates, learning logs for delegates. Additionally, some courses may include demonstrations.
All of my courses include Evaluation.
