This document discusses the concept of gamification. Gamification involves using game mechanics and game thinking in non-game contexts to engage users and solve problems. It discusses how gamification can increase user engagement and motivation by putting people in a state of "flow" where they are fully immersed and enjoying an activity. Some techniques of gamification include using rewards like points, badges, levels, progress bars or virtual currency to motivate users. Leaderboards and displaying rewards to others can also encourage competition.
