- You are that mountain for your child. Your job is to let all your doubts and distractions drop to the bottom of the lake and stand firm and strong for your child. Your #1 job is to tell your child “what you are is enough.” Again and again. Maybe just figuring out what they want to do after high school. Maybe not ready for college. And my job is to tell you “you are enough.”
- Landscape is shifting. College as we know it today will be completely different in 20 years. In many ways already happening. New reality: SME, Skills + experiences, ability to communicate across differences
- Process of Mental Mirroring only happens during stories. When students use scripts—interpretations and generalizations that could be said by many people—this process breaks down.
