19. Conduct Commercialisation Activities
Use TTUs to follow through on the commercialisation of research
In order to assure the success of SRTD II:
• Priority will be given at a regional level in promoting the Jordanian applied
research, IP and commercialisation.
• Some regional institutions are active in organising one to one meetings
between investors and researchers, working towards partnership between
industry and research, and overcoming national borders in MENA region.

Identifying funding requirements for full commercialisation and work with external
funding sources
PIO will endeavor to link Jordanian brains with investors and entrepreneurs from
the region to assure SRTD II success & prevent brain drain.
Attracting attention of venture capitalist and innovative entrepreneurs of Jordanian
Research output will be one goal targeted with SRTD-II Communication and Visibility
Campaign.
The PIO will initiate the planning and necessary organisation for a regional event in
Amman, and successful grant beneficiaries will be identified during the course of
grant implementation and success story.

22. Research- Jordan Networking Events
Networking event in Brussels will be conducted to raise awareness within
European research networks of the potential benefits of including Jordanian
researchers as partners in consortia when developing proposals for Horizon
2020.
Media Support
SRTD-II will engage with European media to ensure Jordanian research and
commercialisation activities are highlighted to the widest possible audience.

• CFP was launched in the official Kick-off Ceremony on June 9, 2014
• SRTD-II will provide approximately 60 grants:

These thematic NCPs are:
• Energy NCP: National Energy Research Centre (NERC)
• KBBE: Food, Agriculture and fisheries, and Biotechnology NCP: National Centre for Agriculture and Research Extension (NCARE)
• Environment NCP: The Environment Monitoring and Research Unit (EMARCU)
• Health NCP: King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC)
• NMP: Nanosciences, nanotechnologies, materials and new production technologies NCP: National Nanotechnology Centre of Jordan (NANCEJ)
ICT NCP: National Information Technology Centre (NITC).
Due to institutional restructuring the NCPs network is under revision.
SRTD I supported the establishment of two new JICs;
Al Urdonia Lil Ebda (AULE), located in Al Hussein Industrial Estate
and one focussed on women-owned businesses in Jerash.
With these 2 new JICs in place,
the JIC Network now has seven incubators spread across the Kingdom from Irbid in the north to Al-Karak in the south
covering diverse sectors from ICT, clean technology, industrial applications, and agri-business
MEDA partners is no more used ,, its now MPC
The National Contact Point (NCP) network is acknowledged by the European Commission and provides advice and assistance in all aspects of the EU RTDI programme. It is set up across all the Member States, Associated States of the European Union and third countries.The role of the NCP is extremely important in the dissemination of information and in the inter-sectoral and transnational assistance to the European projects proposer.
