Google earth has showed us the rapid change of Buriganag River with n 14 years. We have just taken 3 pictures from 3 different years (2001, 2006, 2010) to
visualize the rate of pollution and the drastic change of Buriganga.

This picture shows the current situation of Buriganga River. Now, the water gets darker shade and filthy than before. The plastic garbage bags are being
dumped randomly into the river which is polluting the water in a tremendous manner.

This picture is the bayside view of the Buriganga Rivar to show the density of the garbage and filth is being stacked along the sideline. The general people
unable to clear the dirty garbage by themselves, who are responsible for the stack, is now living with the situation!

Though the water is too much toxic, still local people use it to refill the mineral water bottle that are being sold around the area. The people suffer from
various water born diseases like diarrhea, cholera, typhoid, jaundice etc. these may even lead to death.

Household sewerage lines of the city are mostly ended in Buriganga which is one of the main factors for the water pollution in that area.

Plastics and household wastes are being dumped alongside the river without any hesitation.

The floating tea stalls on Buriganga are also run by using this polluted water. And people are continuously drinking tea from these vendors.

Riverside restaurants use this polluted water for their cooking. They only use normal water purifier to clean the water like potassium alum or “Phitkiri”.

The broken sewerage pipe is polluting the Turag River at Mohammadpur area.

Floating people is also polluted the open sources of water as there is lack of proper sanitation facilities and waste management.

throw various types of garbage into the lake.

Sewerage gate of Rampura Bridge sometimes gets chocked due to the filths and the dirty thickness of water.

Short Description:
In this term paper a very little percentage of polluted water resources are shown as we cannot visit all of them. As we had many barriers like
time management, ability etc so we tried to cover the mostly polluted area of Dhaka Mohanagar. The leading area is old Dhaka and its
surrounded area. So, we focused it vividly. Then we chose the local area of our own like Banashree, Hatirjheel, Rampura, Mohammadpur and
Gulshan. All of the pictures were taken within these areas.
Conclusion:
At present water pollution is a serious issue for our country. So, we should be aware of our waste management properly and try to keep our
water clear as per as possible for our own benefit. This will help to save the water from pollution and various water born diseases.
