2. Canon 500d -
The camera which I will be using to film my music video
is the Canon 500d. As I have had previous experience
with this camera from AS level, I understand the
basics to using the camera and how I can adapt
different aspects to it to impact on the quality of my
video. For example, the different lenses which are
available can determine what sort of look my video
has to it. The different focuses of the camera will also
be a huge aspect which I can use to differentiate my
video to basic ones. The different options which I
have on offer is benefiting me due to the fact I can
alternate between lenses allowing me to constantly
give the video a new look. I will also be continuing to
record my video at home as I have the same camera
as a personal one, meaning I can record at any time at
my own pace, knowing the technological uses of the
camera and the different options that it has.
3. Tripod
I am planning on using the tripod to help me to
record. This will enable me to record some of my
scenes with a stable shot and will not show any
unsteady hand movements which could impact on
the quality of my video. It will help my video to
appear more professional and will eventually
impact on my overall success. I am borrowing this
from the school, aswell as the camera, so that I can
use my own camera also and shoot more scenes to
be able to keep on track with my work. I hope to be
able to shoot some of my footage within a shorter
time period so that I can focus on using this tripod
to help with my shots. Borrowing the tripod means
that I can shoot outside and inside where it may be
windy. For my first scene I am going to record
inside using the tripod as a steady shot to match
the mood of the song.
